Highlights of Istanbul
A full day inside the historic peninsula, covering the monuments every first-time visitor comes to Istanbul for. We start in the open-air spine of the ancient city — the Hippodrome — then move into the cascading domes of the Blue Mosque and across the square to Hagia Sophia. Down into the cool half-light of the Basilica Cistern, a break for lunch at a local restaurant, and we close the day wandering the hans and alleys of the Grand Bazaar.
