Bosphorus Villages: Üsküdar, Kuzguncuk & Beylerbeyi
A slow morning along the Asian shore of the Bosphorus. We start in Üsküdar with its mosques and waterside tea gardens, then walk through Kuzguncuk — one of Istanbul's most beloved neighborhoods, where a church, a synagogue and a mosque sit on the same street. We finish at Beylerbeyi Palace, the sultan's summer residence right on the water. Along the way: bakeries, an old grocer, fishermen unloading the morning catch.
